apply for regulation
Regulation places a coin under the commission's ongoing oversight. Its developer accepts the Regulated Standard and the coin's conduct is monitored from then on.
How applications are decided
- Apply, free. Write the coin's disclosure statement and confirm the two attestations below.
- Automatic screening. The dev wallet and the coin are checked against the public record. A clean record is approved immediately. Past cases, dump or bundle flags, or red flags on the coin send the application to the commission for review. Unpaid fines are refused.
- On approval. Pay the one-time regulation fee and the coin is registered. A coin more than 3 days old has had its history screened and is in good standing straight away. A coin launched in the last 3 days has too little history, so it starts with a 3-day observation period.
The developer's obligations
- Publish a disclosure statement on the coin's record, and keep it accurate.
- Label every wallet the developer or project controls that holds more than 1% of supply.
- The dev wallet and labelled project wallets must not dump. Planned distributions go through a public pledge.
- A breach suspends the coin automatically and publicly. Repeated or serious breaches lead to revocation, which is permanent.
In good standing, a coin
- is listed as ✓ Regulated across regulate.fun, with its full regulatory history public;
- has its grade reflect the accountability: structural risk is reduced, while behavioural risk never is (Policy §9);
- lets its holders make tracked distribution pledges, and lock tokens to become Regulated addresses.
Eligibility
- Only the coin's dev wallet can apply: the wallet that deployed it, or its current pump.fun creator wallet.
- Wallets with unpaid fines cannot apply. Coins whose regulation was revoked cannot apply again.
- Not the dev? Holders don't apply. Lock tokens and your wallet becomes a Regulated address.
Applying is free. A one-time regulation fee is payable only if the application is approved. It never buys a grade, a standing or the outcome of any investigation (Standard §6).
